Bobby Lashley has been gone from the WWE for several months after needing to rehab his shoulder which is now fully healed according to wrestlezone.com.
Wrestlezone.com reported several reasons for Lashley asking for and getting his release from the WWE. They stated that it seems that someone got on the wrong side of Lashley angering him, not to mention that they fired his girlfriend Kristal Marshall after she was not willing to do a script she was uncomfortable doing, as well as the fact that he and McMahon have had little contact despite being healed from his injury and the WWE had no true storyline for him to return to.
Wrestlezone.com is also reporting that Lashley is getting involved in a professional career in MMA.
It seemed as though Lashley was going to have a Royal Rumble return and possibly make a run for the title as it seems somewhat unlikely that Orton will relinquish his title at the PPV.
Also, with wrestlezone.com reporting that the WWE has re-signed The Big Show, it seemed as if that could have been another angle for Lashley to work as he beat The Big Show for the ECW Championship and was the last to wrestle The Big Show before he departed from the WWE himself. It could have been interesting to see the fire of that feud be re-light.
Lashley was a two time ECW Champion and United States Champion during his short tenure with the WWE.
